THE GORGON’S TABLE

A little luck.
A little nerve.

Get closer to 21 than Medusa without going over. Aces count as 1 or 11; picture cards count as 10.

+ Hit

Take another card.

− Stand

Keep your total.

2× Double

Double your wager, take one card, then stand.

⑂ Split

Separate two equal-value cards into two hands, adding a matching wager.

Eight-deck American hole-card blackjack · Natural blackjack pays 3:2 · Other wins pay 1:1 · Ties return your wager · House draws below 17 and stands on all 17s, including soft 17. A fresh 416-card shoe is shuffled each round. Dealer draws are skipped once every main hand is already settled, including all-bust or all-natural rounds.

Three seats, played from your right to left. Cards are dealt one at a time to each occupied seat, then Medusa, in two passes. Her second card stays face down. With a 10-value upcard she checks for blackjack immediately; with an Ace she offers insurance first. A dealer blackjack ends the round before any player actions.

Double on any first two cards, including after a split: add a matching wager, receive exactly one card and stand. Split an original equal-value pair once into two hands per seat. No resplitting. The right-hand split is dealt to and completed before the next. Split aces receive one card each and cannot be resplit, hit or doubled. A split-hand 21 is an ordinary 21, paid 1:1.

Insurance: when Medusa shows an Ace, optionally wager half your initial main bet. It pays 2:1 if she has blackjack; otherwise it loses independently of your main hand. A player natural can take Even money for a guaranteed 1:1 win without an extra stake. Surrender is not available. No five-card or six-card automatic win, dealer-22 push, or suited-blackjack bonus applies.

Select a chip, then click MAIN, 21+3 or PAIRS on any of three seats. Each click adds the selected chip and reserves it from your available balance. Removing a seat’s main bet also refunds its side bets. Main bet: $5–$500 per seat. Each side bet: $5–$100, with a main bet on that seat. Starting main and side bets use steps of $5; insurance and half returns are calculated to the cent. Use Undo, Clear all, or a seat’s × to remove wagers. The small 2×, +, − and <> buttons beneath each hand duplicate Double, Hit, Stand and Split. Only the active seat can use them. A result badge appears beneath each hand’s chip; the large win/loss amount shows the combined round profit or loss. After a brief result display, the cards and wagers clear automatically. Place fresh wagers directly, or use Rebet to restore the previous starting bets without dealing. Your balance, wagers, shoe order and accepted actions stay in this browser. Refreshing or reopening resumes the same unfinished round; it does not forfeit or redeal it. There is no decision timer. Keep this table open in one tab at a time. All amounts are displayed in USD using play money. Use “+ Funds” for $1,000.00 in play money between hands. No real money or prizes.

Side bet payouts

Optional, on any seat with a main bet. Only the original two cards count. Splits and hits do not change these results.

21+3

Your first two cards + Medusa’s face-up card. Aces may be low (A–2–3) or high (Q–K–A); K–A–2 is not a straight.

Perfect Pairs

PAIRS, PP and Perfect Pairs label this same single wager. There is no separate Any Pair bet. One bet covers all pair types. The ranks must match exactly: a King and Queen are not a pair.

Perfect pair Same rank and suit25:1
Coloured pair Same rank and colour, different suits12:1
Mixed pair Same rank, opposite colours6:1

Highest qualifying prize only, per side bet. Odds are profit; your winning stake is also returned. A $5 perfect pair pays $125 profit + $5 stake = $130 returned. Losing side bets return $0. Both side bets settle after the initial deal and can win even if your main hand loses.

Eight-deck, freshly shuffled shoe theoretical returns: 21+3 96.2961%; Perfect Pairs 95.9036%. Payout tables vary between casinos.
